Undocumented Reflash Functionality (restore registry)
The iLiad has the ability to restore the registry from a CF card.
If you plan on working with the registry of your iLiad, and don't want to loose
any of the existing settings you can do the following:
To restore, use the normal restore procedure.
This is probably not useful for the average user, but if you're a developer testing changes to the registry, it could come in handy.
If you plan on working with the registry of your iLiad, and don't want to loose
any of the existing settings you can do the following:
- Install dropbear on your iLiad.
- Copy the /mnt/settings/registry folder off of your iLiad (use winscp or scp)
- On your CF Card make a x:\images\registry\ folder.
- Copy the contents from your registry backup into that folder.
- Enter "settings" (without quotes) into x:\config.txt
To restore, use the normal restore procedure.
