Ok,
I fund a few hours during this week-end to fix and play with the ipdf
code. As an OSS believer, I of course want to share as fast as
possible. The "feature list": - CPU still throttles between 400, 200 and 100 Mhz, but now also throttles while in landscape mode. Portrait and Landscape are implemented as two totally different classes, which I find strange, given the similarities. Making a "root" viewer that can be extended will be an exercise for later. - Remebers pen-settings for each opened document. If you change the pen settings in a PDF, the same settings will be used next time you open it. - Default select "scribble". I've got a stylus, and when I rip it out, I want it to write. Not a big thing really, but I like it a lot. - Hide scribbles - Pressing the "dot" button will hide/unhide scribbles. Useful if you, like me, scribble all over the place and want to read what's below the scribbles. Note that you can write new scribbles when they are "hidden", it's just that only the new ones will show (until the screen re-draws). Not sure how useful this one is, so we can vote on it. - Toggle erase using the "Up arrow" button. I don't like to press the 'erase' icon. I guess it's due to me trying to avoid pressing all the lower buttons, making my hand more clumsy in the lower part of the display. Not sure this one is much more efficient, but it feels better to me. - Erase scribbles on the current page. WARNING: THIS ONE IS VERY, VERY SHAKY! A feature request I saw here, in regards to Sudoku solving. Well, as it's almost easter, press AND HOLD "Up arrow" until the light goes on. Press "Down arrow", and see your scribbles dissapear. The bad thing is you will have to exit your document and re-open it to be able to scribble... I don't believe your (other) scribbles will be lost, but they might very well dissapear too. So be VERY careful if you use this one. If you're un-lucky and manage to hold the "up arrow" button down but regret it, just press anything BUT the "arrow down" To the point, the patch is at: http://www.njaal.net/files/ipdf2.9.1-rincewind.patch, a pre-compiled binary at http://www.njaal.net/files/ipdf2.9.1-rincewind. MD5 of the binary is: "6f6ddcb6f8a98c33d231fff94e665bcf ipdf2.9.1-rincewind" If you have any feedback, don't hesitate. But I only implement stuff I like, so don't get your hopes up about animated scribbles or something. Enjoy. /R |
